COURTS AND OFFENCES.
T\YO DISORDERLY CLERKS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Juno IS. John Gerald iSiglcv, aged 26 years, and Robert Timothy Kearv, aged 23 years, clerks, were to-day fined £~> each for assault, and wore ordered to pay £3 for mischief. The accused, when returning from a dance under the influence of liq’our, forced 'their attentions on two girls, forced their way into their’ home, assaulted their father (an elderly Chinese), threw stones, and created a violent disturbance.
Mr. Salmon, .M., .refused 'to suppress their names. He said that 'the behaviour of the accused was a slur on the Civil Service, -and 'they would have to bear the brunt of it.
