SEQUEL TO POLICE RAID

AUCKLAND, June 18,
As the sequel to a raid on a gam-ing-house in Victoria Street on Saturday night was the appearance in the court to-day of twenty Dalmatians. Mareno Glavas was fined £SO for keeping a common gaming-house, Joe Jerkovich £SO for assisting, and the others were fined £4 each.
CHARGES OF THEFT ADMITTED
f PALMERSTON N., June 18. , At the Police Court this morning, Neel Keith. Coulter, aged 18, was sentenced to one month's imprisonment for theft. The accused also pleaded guilty to" two charges of theft from dwellings and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
