MOTOR CYCLIST INJURED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, June 17. Alfred William Hegh, of Onehunga, was seriously injured in a motor accident on the Manakau Road. Riding a motor-cycle towards the city, Hegh collided with a motor-car driven by Thomas Dickson and slightly out of control. The motor-cycle ran forward about twenty yards and struck a post. Hegh was thrown heavily and was found to be in an unconscious condition. To-day his condition is serious and he is still unconscious.

VAN COLLIDES WITH TRAIN. NAPIER, June 17. Frederick L. Lilley was killed and iiis companion, John D. Heenan, somewhat badly injured, at the Tomoana railway crossing, near Hastings, at 5 o’clock last evening, as the result of a collision '[between the WellingtonXapier express and a motor van in which the two men were returning from the Napier Park races to their homes in Havelock North. The impact must have been terrific, as the two men were thrown some 20 feet over a fence and the van was tossed into the air and completely wrecked. NO HOPE OF FINDING MISSING MAN. WELLINGTON. June IS. It is stated that no hope is now held out of finding Hodgkin son, the missing man, though a fresh party went out on Saturday. All parties are now returning.
