DEATH EROM INJURIES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WAIROA, Junp 14. M. Maloney, the unfortunate victim of Tuesday’s burning accident at Tuai, died! in the hospital'at an early hioiur this morning. SCHOOL GIRL INJURED. BLENHEIM, June 14. A girl nine,, yearn of age, named Jams Allen, while returning home from school, was knocked down by a motorear yesterday. She was admitted to hospital with a fractured skull and other injuries.
A PLUCKY BOY. WHANG AREiI, June 14. Robert McGallum, aged sixteen, residing at Waiotira, had both, bones of liis left 'leg fractured and tlie left ankle dislocated as taie result of a fall from a horse. Despite the pain, he struggled into, the saddle and rode fourteen miles to a settler’s home, whence he was conveyed by car to Whangarei Hospital, where lie is progressing satisfactorily.
