WHAREROA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Prior to the departure of Mr. and Mrs. George Lusoombe from the district to Kapuni, a large gathering met at their residence to bid them farewell and to wish them every success in their new home. The evening w r as devoted to cards, dancing, music, and table tennis, with supper provided by the ladies. Mr. R. Hicks, on behalf of those present, expressed regret at the departure of Mr. and Mrs. Luscombe and also appreciation of their valuable sexvices. Air. Lusoombe liad done good work on the local School Committee, while Airs. Luscombe was always to the. fore in giving help when and wherever needed. Three cheers were given for Air. and All’s. Luscombe and family. Air. Luscombe suitably replied. -v
