HONEY PRODUCTION.
MEETING OF TARANAKI ASSOCIATION. The annual meeting oif the Taranaki branch of the National Beekeepers’ Association was held in the Winter Show Buildings, H&wera, yesterday, when Mr H. R-. Penny presided over a fair attendance. Apologies were received from Messrs Phillips, Bates and Strang. The balance-sheet and report were adopted. . Mir Penny said the season had been an exceptionally good one for the beekeepers, and in some oases there were record crops; in fact, what was believed to be a Southern Hemisphere record was the crop of a local keeper of 80 tons. Prices generally were keeping up; The matter of entries for the fortkxmiing show was discussed. Though the classes had not been fitted so well as in previous years, the dosing date for entries had been extended, and it Was hoped to meet with greater support. The election of officers resulted: pPresident, Mr H. R. Penny; vice-presi-'ont, Mr Allan Bates; secretary, Miss' Mavis Nicholas.
