FOUND DEAD. (bY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] . ROTORUA, May 21. George Vesey Stewart, aged 51, a well-known resident and a fisherman, was found dead in his home on Sunday morning. Death was due to a fall during an epileptic attack, TWO BOYS INJURED. DUNEDIN, May 21. Allan Mangan, aged 16, and Frederick Miller, aged 16, were admitted to' hospital suffering with injuries to hards and feet. They loaded an old gun with powder, and* it exploded; inopportunely. DROWNED IN FRENCH PASS NELSON, May 21. While coming through French Pass yesterday afternoon in a motor launch, Mr R. J. Reed, well known in Nelson as the, foreman of Montgomery’s garage, was thrown off the launch, which was caught in an eddy. He- was drowned. The body has not yet been recovered. ♦. WOMAN DROWNED ’FROM MOTOR CAR, DUNEDIN, May 21. When a motor-car ran off the punt at Tuapeka mouth yesterday, Mary Jane Fahey, aged 33, was drowned. The deceased was with her husband in the car, which was run on to' the punt to cross the Molyneaux River. The car ran over the end of the punt. The body has not been recovered. DAIRY BOARD ELECTION. WELLINGTON, May 21. Nominations for three seats on the Dairy Board closed at noon. An election will be necessary only in No. 3 ward, where William Bryant, the sitting member, and William Lee have been nominated. Mr. W. Grounds (chairman) and Mr. Dynes Fulton are the only nominations in No. 1 and No. 2 wards. A CHILD’S DEATH. TIMARU, May 21. At the inquest concerning the death of a child named Tomlinson, four weeks of age, the coroner said that the evidence disclosed lamentable ignorance on the part of the grandfather and the mother of the child in regard to feeding. It showed reprehensible conduct on the part of the relatives in not calling in a doctor or a plunket nurse.
