MISSING SINCE THE WAR. NO TRACE SINCE GOING TO HOSPITAL. [BY TELEOUAPH--PRESS aBSOOLO iON i HAMILTON, May 18. A New Zealander when returning wounded from war was taken to a hospital at Adelaide some nine years -ago. Since then" his relatives have been unable to learn anything of his fate. The soldier was Percivaf West, and his father, Andrew West, of. Morrinsville, left lor Australia for the second' time on Wednesday in the hope of tracing his son. When war broke out Pereival West who was in Australia, joined one of the first Australian regiments, and was Ihneo wounded. He continued his active service through the war and when pea-re was declared. West suffering from the effects of a -wound, was shipped had-:, and sent to hospital at Adelaide. From there lie last- wrote to his people. Mr. West, seiir.. went to Australia intending to living his son back lint- could find no trace. His father has- now provided hiniseir with papers from the Defence Department, and is going to Australia to renew the search.
