The sub-committee discussing sugar production decided that the matter was not sufficiently studied to permit of a searching investigation. A resolution was adopted recognising the importance of the problem owing to the difficulty wherein the industry found itself, and calling on the League Council to instruct its economic organisation to examine all factors relating to international production and consumption of sugar. Their report would he submitted to the Council, which would decide whether corrected international action was, desirable
