SALK OF Fit BEHOLDS. High Street properties to the valu*. of o.er £17,000 have recently changer, hands. The Taranaki Amusements (ilavera) Ltd. have acquired the block of shops at present occupied by Adams.. Uruce Go., Aard Service Co.,_ and Chinese fruiterer; Mr T. C. List, of New Flvmouth, the shops occupied by Mr Elgar and Mr X. Chhiba the property adjoining the Bank or Australasia' ancl at present occupied by Messrs Pasalich and Mission Orange shop. Freehold properties' in the centre of Hawera’s business area rarely come on the market and the above represent the largest transactions in lecent years and at- the same time indicate that investors have confidence in the- future of the town. The above sales were completed through the agency of Messrs Grant and Co who report that- in addition to the above they have also arranged the following leases of High Street shops, viz.: O’Donnell’s Estate to Nntir.nal Providers, Blairs Ltd. to Fraser and Son, Nolan Tonks Estate to A. C. Smith and Collins’ Estate to Mrs Crichton.
