The following motion by Jacob Johnson, general president of the Seamen’s Union wiK be considered at to-day’s conference of the watersiders. — “That ibis conference supports the cooks until a. settlement is reached on a basis of the conditions existing at the time of the Ulimaroa’s dispute, on failing that, on the conditions existing prior to the dispute.” Mr Tudehope, Federal Secretary of the Marine Cooks’ Union declared—“cooks will fight on.”
