CRICKET.

MARYLEBONE CONSIDERS RULES. (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH—COPYRIGHT.) (UNITED SERVICE.) LONDON, May 16. The Marylebone Cricket Club discussed the absurdity arising out of the conflict of law 2, defining a tie, with the county rules relating to scoring in the competition points. Bucks and Herts were playing in the minor counties’ championship. The fomer made 121 and 238, and the latter 273 and 86 for seven. Under the Marylebone rules the match was a tie, but under the laws of cricket Bucks gained an advantage in points through leading on the first innings. Marylebone considers that such events are so l rare that it is not prepared to alter law 2, because the tests and other matches would be affected.
