NOT INCONSISTENT WITH CANADIAN POLICY.
(AUSTRALIAN PRESS ASSOCIATIONUNITED SERVICE.) Received 11.25 a.m. to-day. WASHINGTON, May 16. Asked if the Dominions would make separate treaties, the Secretary of State (Mr. E. B. Kellogg) said it was a matter for the Dominions to decide, in consultation with Great Britain.
‘ The opinion is expressed here that it would not be inconsistent with, Canadian policy of recent years _if Ottawa elected to deal directly with Washington when it came to a declaration of policy on disarmament, disputes, and outlawing war.
