DISPUTE OYER RACING- DATE RECALLED. i BV TELEGRAPH -PRESS ASSOCIATION 1 CAMBRIDGE, May 15. The announcement in the official racing paper that the Auckland District Committee has recommended’‘that Labour Day be taken from the Waikato Hunt Club has occasioned considerable interest in racing circles, in view of the ' fight that occurred over the question last year. Such recommendation reverses the decision of the Minister of Internal Affairs, supported by a substantial majority of the members of Parliament, who last July made it clear that the Hunt Club would not be deprived of its long-accustomed date. The opinion is freely expressed that the Auckland District Committee’s action is in the nature of a direct challenge to Parliament. IMPORTS AND EXPORTS. WELLINGTON, May 15.
