The annual report stated that thexecutive committee had met m-onthb and the institution of these regula: meetings had kept the members' in toucl with what was being done by the alii ancc throughout New Zealand. Anothe: I such factor had been the holding o: quarterly teas, which had -been open t< members ana supporters. The splcndic support received at the teas had beer very gratifying. A great deal of good work had been done by the league. The matter of finance was in the hands of Mr Dixon, and the finances were in a very healthy position. To reduce the league’s financial obligation a big drive had been organised in October, when the supporters of the league, in conjunction with Mr S. M. Dixon, had canvassed the district, with the result that the league was now about £SO ahead of its allotted assessment, a position of which few other leagues in New Zealand could boast. The matter of the rolls was in the hands of Mr Bone, and the executive was pleased to report that these were kept up to date by obtaining new names on the rolls each month from the registrar of electors. The league was pleased to have obtained the services of Mrs W. G. Simpson for organising baud of hope work, and it was hoped soon to have a good band of young workers. The report was adopted.
