A Chicago message says: “Forecasts of rain over the drought-menaced winter fields sent ail grain futures into a speculation decline. The wheat market was unsettled throughout the day and trading was enormous. The opening wag firm, but commission houses sold heavily, creating a sharp slump. Heavy profit taking was a feature of the market.
