Alfred Conway Gray, aged 27, a single man and son of Mr. William Gray, of Martinborough, who was employed on a farm at Papakura, was found in his hut shot early this morning. An old muzzle loading rifle was alongside. THE OLYMPIC TEAM. WELLINGTON, May 2. A radio message received from Mr. Amos says that the Olympic team has settled down to life aboard the Remuera. A start has been made with the training operations to be carried out during the voyage. Moorhouse, the swimmer, who is making liis own arrangements lor the trip to England, Leaves Christchurch by the Hurunui next Wednesday. ACCIDENTAL DEATH. TAUMARUINUI, May 2. At the inquest concerning the death of John Miehalick, who was killed on Monday at Ongarue', as the result of a tree blown down by the wind, falling on him and fracturing his skull, the c-oroner, Mr. A. S. Laird, returned a verdict of accidental death.
