POWER BOARD AFFAIRS.
ACCO U N TANT APPOINTED. The South Taranaki Electric Power Board has appointed Mr S„ P- Day to act an its accountant for the {purpose of scrutinising the position of the Hawera County Electric Company, Limited, and to make a comprehensive report thereon to the board. Mr Daw who is a qualified accountant by examination, was, until three years ago, 0n, 3 of the Government auditors in the Government Audit Office. Since then Mr Day has been .secretary to the Franklin Electric Power Board, and accordingly has had practical experience and a good knowledge of the working of electric supply accounts. The accountant will enter on his duties about the middle of this month, and will make his report to ithe board immediatelv afterwards.
