PROPOSED FISH HATCHERY.
STT.ES UNDER- CONSIDER ATION. CHIEF' INSPECTOR’S: VISIT The* chief inspector of fisheries, Mr A. E. Hefford, arrived in Hawera from Wanganui early this afternoon. Accompanied by Mr W. A. Spragg, acting president of the Hawera Acclimatisation Society, and another member of the council, Mr T. J. Salmon, the inspector left by car to visit streams at Eltliam, Midhimt, and Durham Road, and inspect sites suggested in connection with the proposal for the establishment of ai joint hatchery by the three acclimatisation societies of the province.
Eroni Durham Road district it was the intention of Mr Hefford to* proceed to New Plymouth.
