“THE RINGEIty” MAURICE MOSCOVITCH AND COMPANY TO APPEAR. There are many tense scenes in “The Binger,” which is' the first of the Edgar Wallace dramas, well constructed and most capably interpreted, to lie presented by the specially-selected J. C. Williamson Dramatic Company, beaded by the noted actor Maurice Mbseovitch, appearing at the Opera House, Hawera, on Tuesday next for one night only. From first to last the interest of the audience is held, and as the drama unfolds, sensational developments follow, the denouement being startling and quite original. Moscovitch as Maurice Meister, the scheming solicitor who seeks to spread his evil influence over the daring criminals and furtive thieves of the London underworld, and who lives in deadly fear of “The Binger” (whose mysterious death has been reported from Sydney), gives one of the best characterisations ever seen in this part of the world. He is supported by a firStolassi company, including the noted’ London actor Patric Curwen, who was specially engaged in London by Sir George Tallis (J. C Williamson Ltd.) to play the part of .Police Divisional Surgeon Dr. Lomond, one of the most interesting characters of this notable play. Another able performance is that of Nat Madison, who gives a wonderfully realistic portrayal of the part of Samuel Hackitt, an ex-convict who possesses a rich vein of humour; Miss Mary MacGregor, who plays the exacting part of Ann Milton; Miss Bertha Piccardo, as Mary Lenley; Ashton Jarry, who plays the part of Divisional Detective Inspector Wdrhbury, D.S.O 1 .; George Blunt, as the humorous Station Sergeant Carter; Leslie Donaghey, as Bonnie; Hal Percy, as Colonel Walford, C. 8., Assistant Commissioner of Police; and Miss Eiore King (a New Zealand girl), who has made very rapid progress; Herbert Leigh, Guy Hastings, and Carleton Stuart.
