ROMANCE ON iTHE AORANGI

Romance surrounds two arrivals by the Aorangi, Mr Basil, Stanley, aged, 32, University footballer coach, and his wife, formerly Miss Evelyn Anderson, aged 23, the daughter of a wealthy i-e----tired sugar planter at Honolulu, who had mad? a runaway match owing to the opposition, of the lady’s parents. "When they left Honolulu- they had only 140 dollars together, and Air Stanley elected to- have his wife treated as a passenger and' he himself as a ,stx>wawSy. On arrival at Auckland they ware (questioned by the police-, who decided that the matter concerned the shipping company and put them aboard again. Probably they will -be takfiti on to Sydney and thence back to Honolulu, as neither had a passport. They agree that they are taking a postgraduate course in the “University of Hard Knocks.”
