TAWHITI SPORTS.
A COMING ATTRACTION. On Wednesday week, April 4, the Tawhiti and; district sports- association will hold its second annual sports -meeting on the property adjoining Tawhiti Hall, about a mile- from Hawora. The committee lias drawn up a programme that should find favour with the public. Included are classes for school ponies, factory flio-rses, trotting ponies, motor cars, Highland dancing and musical events, amateur athletic ami cycling races. In addition numbers of novelty events and children’s games have been provided. -Since the programme was compiled two handsome silver cups, each valued at 10 guineas, have been donated- by Messrs R. .1. Linn and J. R. Corrigan. The former’s trophy will -lie awarded to tillo best dairy caw in milk (any breed or cross) and Mr Corrigan’s cup will be for the horse or pony registering the fastest time over a mile. Entries close on Saturday next. The secretary is Mr R. MoOay.
