(From Our Own Correspondent.) TENNIS. On Saturday last the local club played a. match with the Te Ngutu club and were beaten by a fair margin. Alangatoki found it bard to make up a team, as most of 1 the good players were not available. The games were 135 to 76, and the sets 21 to 3. All through the games were keenly contested, but special mention must be given to the game between Mr. Duncan and Mr. Paterson. The games were s —l in favour of Duncan when the contest changed, and through citing moments Paterson won 6 o. GENERAL. Two earthquakes were felt here last week, and owing to the fact that they were the first for nearly a year much excitement was caused. The rain which has fallen during.the last month has refreshed everything, making the supply of milk rise a little.
