FATAL FALL FROM TRAM. [BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, March 11. Frederick Braddock, by trade a salesman, aged 60 years, residing at 83 Endeavour Street, Lyail Bay, fell off a tram at the intersection of Goutts and Ross Streets, Kilbirnie, on Saturday and fractured his skull. He was taken to hospital, where lie died at 5.10 p.m. He leaves a widow and five children. BODY FOUND IN A DRAIN. CHRISTCHURCH, March 10. The body of Francis Woodham, a married man aged 53, of Papanui, was found this afternoon in a drain on Winter’s Road, Papanui, - with his throat cut. Woodham had suffered from insomninia following ill-health. It is stated that- he had been much upset by the Foster murder and suicide, which took place in the house next to his own, and that it preyed on his mind. He disappeared from his home on March 3, saying he was going for a walk, and since then had not been seen alive. FOUND IN THE HARBOUR. AUCKLAND, March 11. The body of a man aged about 50 was found shortly after 1 o’clock this afternoon floating in the harbour near the western wharf. A coat and vest were on the wharf about 100 yards away. The garments contained a- post office bank book and also a. membership card of the Auckland and Suburban Labourers’ Union, made out to- Bryden Wardale. * The man apparently had worked recently at Huia, as the last entry in the bank book was made at Huia post office on February 20. The body had not been in the water long. A SHOOTTNG ACCIDENT. BLENHEIM, March 12. Vivian Brooks, aged 17], son of Mr. V. Brooks, postmaster at Blenheim, was wounded in the abdomen while out shooting yesterday. A belt buckle fortunately dissipated the charge, but the wonud is a serious one. He is making a good recovery in the hospital.
