TRIVALVE WINS KTNGbS PLATE . 8T CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION-COPXBIGHT. MELBOURNE, March 11. There was fine ,but dull weather for the races. The attendance was large and the going fast. Pew New Zealanders were present. 'Shadow King finished 'fast on the rails in the Gibson-Carmichael Stakes. He was bred by the owner of iShillabeer and is trained by Usher. He has previously won at Hawick. Trivalve was not extended in the King's Plate. This is his third win at the meeting, and his rider, Lewis’, fifth victory in the race. Trivalve has now won £27,685 in stakes. Lady Thrill finished fast in the Leon- ' ard Stakes and beat Biskra, who was unlucky. This is rider J. Daniels and trainer ■Foulshaui’s fourth win at the meeting. Matang tried to lead the whole way in the Autumn Steeples, but tired in the straight and Epergnc won comfortably. The time was a race record. Late Night, who was third, also had this place last year. Valorem was always prominent and won the Northcote Handicap narrowly. This constituted Trainer' Sco'bie’s second win during the afternoon and his fourth at the meeting. Valorem was ridden by Sea Money’s pilot, O’Brien.
