LAST DIAMOND RUSH
CONTESTED BY FOUR THOUSAND. BY CABLE-PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received 12 noon to-day. CAPETOWN, Jan. G. What will probably be the last diamond rush in South Africa took place at Grasfontein, in Eastern Transvaal, to-day, when 4000 lined up at the starting point, two miles from the coveted gronud. At a signal by the mining commissioner at noon the silence was broken by a roar as the line of yelling humanity rushed over the ground. The best claims were pegged out within 10 minutes. .
