PLEA OF INSANITY.
RAISED IN THE HICKMAN MURDER TRIAL. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT NEW YORK, Jan. 3. Hickman’s trial for the murder' oi Marion Parker has been fixed for January 25. A plea of insanity will l>e raised. LOS ANGELES, Jan. 3. Hickman was arraigned before the court here to-day and pleaded “not guilty by reason of insanity” to the kidnapping charges. The presiding judge asked Hickman : “Do you realise that in pleading not guilty by reason of insanity you are admitting the murder?” Hickman replied : “Yes, your Honour.”
