PLATINUM FOUND.
VALUABLE DEPOSITS. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT LONDON, Jan. 4. The Colonial Office reports the discovery of a platinum-bearing area in Sierra Leone. Investigations show the area to be a patch of about 40 square miles, and the deposits are likely to be of considerable importance, as the Imperial Institute’s analysis is favourable. Platinum is the most valuable of all metais, its price at present being £l4 an ounce.
