ENTERTAINMENTS.

OPERA HOUSE, TO-NIGHT. REGINALD DENNY AND “THE COLLEGIAN S. ” All the ingredients that go to make up a rib-cracking farce comedy plentifully interlarded with fast action, thrills, suspense and an appealing love theme are embodied in ‘ ‘East and Furious,” Reginald Denny’s latest Universal-Jewel picture -which opens a two night season at the Opera House this evening. “Fast and Furious” is the screen version of an original short story by the-star himself, filmed under the direction of Mel Brown from an adaptation by Raymond Cannon. The picture certainly does not belie its name. There isn’t a dull moment in it. The action is fast, and the fun is furious. The irrepressible Denny comes to grips with a situation that calls for an exhibition of nerve, finesse and adroitness and he comes out on top with his customary sang froid. Playing the leading feminine role opposite dashing Denny is pert and vivacious Barbara Worth whose beauty, charm and personality make her a worthwhile prize for the winner of, the thrilling auto race, staged at one of the largest racing tracks of the West Coast. The supporting, programme will include series No. 5 of the “Collegians.”
