JOKE WITH EX-SOLDIERS. G ATHERING IN LONDON. LONDON, Dee. 23. “For the moment I felt that I had to dance,” ’remarked the Prince ot Wales, amid roans of laughter, when the curtain was drawn aside and revealed him facing an audience ol 9000 ex-soldiers in the vast Broad«ay Cinema at Stratford. Thei Prince told a, story concerning a quarterns aster-sergeant who found himself wealthy after the war. “He built i house,” said the Prince— : ‘ Called Dunrobbin!” shouted an interj,eetor. “No” laughed the Prince, “not that one. Mine ordered his servant to ca .1 him every morning at five and say to him. ‘The quartermaster says you are to turn out and check the rations. Theer is a bit of a strafe, on-’ “To this,” said the Prince, ‘the npwiy rich one invariably Replied, ‘You toll the quartermaster to go to blazes.’ ” (Loud laughter).
