MENACE OF WOLVES.
TERROR OF WINTER IN POLAND. BY CABLE-PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT LONDON. Dec. 30. Radio messages received report that wild beasts, maddened by hunger, have increased the terrors of winter in Poland. Packs of wolves have killed many peasants in the border lands. Two women were devoured near V olkoewvsk, and also four smugglers who had just crossed the lwrder with contraband. . The Government is employing tiocps to organise great hunts to exterminate as many wolves as possible.
