All mails close at 7.15 a.m. All pillar boxes cleared at 6 a.m. No postmen’s deliveries will ‘be made. Telegraph office, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Telegrams to be presented upstairs. Telephone Exchange open continuously. For Australian States, Ceylon, India, Japan, China, Straits Settlements, Egypt and South Africa, per Niagara, at 7.15 a.m. MONDAY, JANUARY 2, 1928. For Great Britain, Ireland, Continent of Europe (due London, January 31), United States of America, via San Francisco, per Tahiti, at 7.15 a.m. INCOMING OVERSEA VESSELS. Niagara, from Vancouver, with TJ.S.A. and English mails; due Jan. 3. L. J. BULL, Postmaster.
