The late Miss Grace Lilian Mitchell bequeathed half of her estate, the full value of which is over £40,000, to the benefit of such charitable organisations and institutions or objects in Dunedin as her trustee in Dunedin may think fit. The deceased, by her will, expressed a wish to assist any organisation. institution or object- as shall have for one of its objects the assistance of persons adversely affected by the Great War, and empowered her trustee to create or endow an institution for that purpose to he known as the “Lilian Mitchell Institute.”
