MAKES AMENDMENTS TO LANDLORD AND TENANT BILL.

The House of Lords carried by 35 votes to 29 Lord Carson’s amendment deleting contracting out .regarding compensation claims under the Landlord and Tenant Bill, despite the Lora Chancellor’s warning on behalf of the Government that it. would practically kill the object of the Bill. Another amendment against the Government resulted in voting 18 to 18, and was defeated hy the Lord Chancellor's casting vote. —A.P.A. and “Sun.”
