HAWKE CUP. PENNY TO JOIN TEAM. The vacancy in the Hawke Cup team caused by the defection of Lay has been filled by tlio. addition of Penny' Owing to a misunderstanding, the South selector (H. R. Penny) notified Barker lie would be required, and lie preferred to let the matter stand. Mr. Cooper, however, understood that in such a case the selection of emergency would be feviewed, and preferred that Penny should fill the position.
