Some 30 years ago the foundation of the present extensive business was prepared by the late Mr. Harry Morris, who commenced in a comparatively humble manner as a practical watchmaker and jeweller in a shop located on the site now occupied by the premises of Messrs. Geo. Symc and Co Ltd.

On his decease some thirteen years ago after the present establishment had been acquired his wife carried on the business and through her knowledge of its requirements and her unfailing courtesy to patrons, further extended, the clientiele originally attracted to the business by Mr. 'Morris. Two years ago the present limited liability company was formed and Mr. G. W lies tide became one of its directors.
