Janies Oliver Curwood, the author, died at Ososso, Alichigan, on August 13, from an internal complaint, states a New A-ork cable.
Born at New Plymouth 82 years ago, Air F. S. Shepherd, who has resided all his life in New Zealand, passed away at Te Atatu, Auckland, on Wednesday. ATr Shepherd was the second son of the late Air John Shepherd, who was one of the earliest white settlors in Taranaki, and when the former was four years of age his family removed to the Auckland province, where he had lived ever since. Mr and Airs Shepherd celebrated their diamond wedding on January 2 last. He is survived by his widow and nine adult children.
