Received 12.50 :p.m. to-day. PARIS, June l._ The French Rugby community is displeased with the conservatism of the British unions, and is discussing the formation of an international union, including New Zealand and New South Wales. Many French clubs have already adopted New Zealand rules.
TARANAKI TEAM AMENDED
D l . Johnston (Olcaiawa) will not be available for the match between Taranaki and Wanganui representatives to-morrow, and the sole selector, Mr, W. A. Guy, has replaced him at fiveeighthi with Fletcher (Inglewood). Fletcher will be remembered l as a former second five-eighth for New Plymouth Boys’ High School. Though a comparatively young player, he scales about 12 stone, lias good powers: of initiative, and is regarded as a very promising middle back.
