THEFT AT PICTURE THEATRE

(by telegraph—press association.) DANNEVIBKE, June 2. The Dannevirke police have been called upon again to exercise their powers of detection in respect to another burglary, this time at the Arcadia Picture Theatre. The manager, Mr W. T. Efyre, lost the keys of his office' on Monday night. These were located on Wednesday evening in the operating box of the theatre. Chi the office safe being opened, it was found that Monday night’? takings, and petty cash totalling in all about £2O, bad been abstracted from the safe.

The supposition is that the keys were found and used in opening the office and safe some time during yesterday afternoon,, and then thrown into, the apartment where they were discovered.
