The New Zealand hurdler, Cherry Ripe, when cooled down after a brilliant exhibition of jumping in a hurdle trial, displayed signs of soreness. One of his forelegs has since given his trainer some trouble and it is doubtful if the horse will be able to start in the A.J.S. hurdle race on Monday.
