A. dramatic feature of the trial of Dr. Brother. for murdering a friend with an injection of quicksilver, was the magistrate’s intervention urging Dr. RroCher to -release a- Roman Catholic priest, Father Clemens, from the confessional vow of seore-cy. It transpired that Dr. B-roeher flew in an aeroplane and took refuge in Holland where he attended confession. J>r. Rrocher resolutely refused the magistrate’s appeal, insisting on the sacredness of the confessional.
