HAWERA TRACK NOTES.

They were not asked to do anytfiing but pace work this morning. J. Fryer sent a couple, Mendip and the Day Comet filly ixalf a mile in <3l 3-ssec. The Day Comet filly will bknown in future as Bright Glow. Paitonu was worked on the No. 2 plough. Silvermine had his first gallop since Wellington, galloping four furlongs in d'Jsec, with Galllard. Benzora, lookng in great heart after his three runs in Wellington, did easy exercise on the No. 2 track. Monsogne and San Fera were given half to three-quarters pace work. Missbardo ran home from the three furlong post in 39sec. Orazone and Tip Tree ran their half mile in 50 1-5. Orazone got the advantage of the jump out and held it to the finish. Iciogne andAVar Flame went half. a mile, Iciogne being in £ront the major portion of the journey. Time, 51sec. Killoch was exercised on the No. 2 plough. Acred and Euphonium set out at the seven furlong peg, running the first two in 26see, five in 1.5, and the seven furlongs in 1.32 J. They finished together. Atone was not aske-d. to inako time. Troilus and Sovena went six furlongs with nothing much between them at the finish, in 1.18 2-5. Blue Peter held Captain . Gazeley easily over six furlongs, run in 1.19. Lady Bentinck and Helen ran five furlongs with Lady Bentinck well in front at the finish "in 1.4 2-5. The Lamb and Royal Acre ran a good gallop over five furlongs, finishing together in 1.3. This was comparatively the best of the morning. Silent," Fortalice and Lady Estelle finished in that order over half a mile in 50 4-ssec. ’ Niblick by himself went five furlongs in 1.8. Eka was restricted to half pace work and seemed anxious to improve it. Tailcawhnna and Barryanda ran six furlongs, Barrvanda well in front, in 1.18. Glengariff did easy pace work. Lady Desmond went four furlongs bv herself in 51 sec and Skypoint- a similar task in 50 2-ssec. I) AVebster jet expected to-day with Bonbomme. and S. Tapp with Bright Lav, Bright Knight _ and Coma.. R. Brough has received an addition to his stable in Mr. H. R. McKenzie’s mare Dnnae. This is one of the Catmint tribe, and is said to revel in the heaw going. Rehutai and Passin’ Through were v^snorisible fo~ a. good exhibition the hurdles, the grey mare jumping faultlessly.
