NEXT YEAR’S BAND CONTEST, (by telegkaph—press association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 28. That the contest tor the A ancl B grade bands be held in Christchurch in February, 1925, was the decision of a meeting of those interested held last night. It was decided to .approach the public for guarantees, subject to receiving a permit from the South Island Bands Association. WOMAN MISSING. CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 28. Mrs. Christina Smith, an inmate of the Jubilee Home, left Christchurch on Tuesday to visit friends at Ashburton. She did not arrive there and no trace of her has been found.
