THE! SCHOOL CHILDREN’S SCHEME, ESSAY COMPETITION. It will be of interest to note, that in connection with the Dairy_ Board’s ‘donation of fifty pounds' of New Zealand butter to assist the scheme organised by Mr. Li. O'. Hooker to spread a knowledge of the Dominion among the children of the English schools, that this is in connection with the essay competition for children attending the primary schools in the Sheffield County (Yorkshire). The subject -set is' “New Zealand and Its Products,’' under the School Childrens’ Empire Reciprocal Publicity Scheme. There are ten classes and five prizes in each, so that the board’s donation will enable a. pound of New Zealand butter to be given to each of the fifty prizewinners
