WHEAT lAfPORT DUTY. (EY TELEGRAPH —FRESS ASSOCIATION.) CHRISTCHURCH, .Tan. 26. At a conference of wheat, growers and commercial men the following motion was carried unanimously: “That a (reputation be appointed to approach the Acting-Prime Afinister and the Afinister for Customs to urge the imposition of a dumping duty on imports of Australian flour as soon as posisble.” At the meeting the Resident of the A. and P. Association, said that the farmers should not sell + Loir wheat until the Government gave them its jirotection. The president of the Chamber nf Commerce said that his organisation supported the farmers in urging that, a dumping duty he imposed. CHILD AITS SING. CHRISTCHURCH. Jan. 26.
