The canoe Mangaone, which; has just been relaunched at Putiki, has an eventful past (says the Wanganui Herald, and her lodging-place at Putiki is for the reason that Putiki is neutral ground and the ca.noe is the subject of contested ownership. The canoe is a beautiful mode’, and it is hoped to be., able to raise the funds necessary to provide a proper . shelter for it, and a. slipway leading ‘to and from the river. v
