(J, THEFT OF MONEY ADMITTED. (By TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) GREYMOUTH, Jan. 24. Stacey Joseph Oxenham, ex-bailiff' at the Magistrate’s Court, pleaded guilty this morning to the theft of .-£BB 14s, the property of the Government. He was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence, bail £2OO, being allowed. FINED FOR BOOKMAKING. AUCKLAND, Jan. 24. As a sequel to a police raid on Saturday. Frances Dansey Orr was fined £75 for keeping a common gaming hAse in Swanson Sreet, and Philip GS?ge Mulligan was fined £25 for assisting in the management. Both pleaded guilty. It was stated that both men had been carrying on a bookmaking business since December.
