TO-MORROW’S FESTIVAL. The geographical position of Scotland, tne quality of its climate, and the lack of sympathy for centuries between Scotland and England all served to mould fashion in Scotland a people distinct in character and quality. Ihe separate agencies have long since passed away, but a certain amount of distinctiveness and pride in that distinctiveness still remains. In these dull times national festivals are becoming more and more rare, hut Scotsmen the world over cling tenaciously to Burns nicht. To-mor-row evening they will foregather to pay homage to their national bard, to sing the songs which he composed or rescued from oblivion, to stir up again the fires of remembrance, to meet auld friens, and to revist in vivid imagination the scenes of their youth. Visitin.fr singers and celebrated athletes will also be present, and by doing justice to the haggis and the usual social intercourse a thoroughlv enjoyable evening should he assured.
