LOCAL FIRM’S REPORT. The,Farmers’ Co-op. report that the second A\ auganui safe or the season was held yesterday, when 25,600 bales were oneied, mis being the allotment allowed by- tne, N.Z. Wool Realisation Committee. Tlie wool opened up in good condition, althougu some ox the clips showed, traces of seed. There was a lull bench of buyers, and competition was keen and well spread. A*, usual. Bradiord lifted tlie bulk ol the offering, although in our catalogue a good portion was secured by Continent! buyers. As compared with tlie sale held ou November 23, good quality wools showed an advance of about one penny per lb, medium up to id advance; and coarser qualities were' firm, but showed no quotable change. Good clean wool wag in keen demand. We sold 95 per cent, of our offering under the hammer and privately alter the sale. Our top price was 17d, secured by Mr F. Parsons, of Whenuakura, for a .line of Corriedale. LONDON TALLOAV MARKET. The .Bank of New Zealand, produce department, has received the following advice from its London office under date 19th inst.: — Tallow is in fair demand at current prices. Quotations; Good mutton, 3Ss cwt.; good beef, 36s Cd to 37s cwt.; good mixed, 36s cwt.; gut, 32s to 34s cwt. Messrs. Dalgetty and Company, Ltd. report having received the following cablegram from their London house under date of the 19th inst. :~~ Tallow.— ll6s casks offered: 361 casks sold; prices unchanged.

DAIRY PRODUCE. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cahle-o-ram from London, under date January 20: “Butter: Market very quiet enquiries limited to cheaper desenptiorns. Stocks accumulating. 10nest Australian and New _ Zealand.
