HAWERA GUN CLUB.

YESTERDAY’S SHOOT.

A clay-pigeon shooting match was held on the show grounds yesterday under the ausnices of the Hawera. Gun Club. The weather was all against the guns and against the pigeons l flying properly. Nevertheless, a good crowd of shooters and spectators assetnibed and thoroughly .enjoyed the afternoon’s sport, the popularity of which seems to be growing. Four'matches were fired. The best shooting was made by S. DColeman, who made 24 first barrels, off 19 and 20 yard's, out of 27 barrels. The results of the shooting were as under: , _ No. 1 Match, six birds. —S. D.
